The Ward 6 Council race will be straight to the November ballot.
But we Ward 6 voters still have extremely critical decisions to make at the September 16 primary.
Mayoral Preliminary This is when I really wish we had ranked-choice voting.
I will be voting for Dan Breindel in the preliminary due to the depth of his commitment to making Northampton work for the people who live here, particular in terms of the Schools, affordability, and inclusive government. Talking policy with Dan is always a joy, and he has done a wonderful job of setting out his positions online, on the radio, and in person.
Jillian Duclos is another candidate offering people-first priorities for the city, and a number of those I respect will be voting for her in the preliminary.
City Council At Large with two seats to fill, we each get to vote for TWO of the best choices.
Meg Robbins and Deborah Henson are at-large candidates I look forward to working with in the new council. We’re going to need every vote to move critical measures forward – on the schools and essential city services, fixing our city, controlling costs and most of all making sure that the city council works for you – the people of Northampton.
Voting for both Ward 6A and 6B is in the Ryan Road school. Find your voting location HERE (state.ma.us)
